Yalama Agropark

Located in the Yalama settlement of Khachmaz district, it is the first agropark in Azerbaijan.

It was established as a private pilot farm on the basis of 523 hectares of land allocated by the Order No. 254S of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 12, 2013. This land had previously been under the permanent use of the state-owned “Yalama” Dairy and Cattle Breeding Agricultural Production Enterprise.

Productivity: Annual milk production is 9,593 tons, while annual meat sales (live weight) amount to 192,816 tons.

Livestock Population: The farm currently maintains 2,505 head of cattle.

Area and Infrastructure: A pedigree livestock complex with capacity for 3000 head, including 1113 milking cows, 385 hectares of farmland under modern pivot irrigation systems. A feed mill with a production capacity of 5 tons per hour. Concrete irrigation channels and 2 water reservoirs, each with a capacity of 50,000 m³. An additional 446.2 hectares equipped with modern pivot irrigation systems, 3 silage pits, each with a storage capacity of 10,000 tons, A new barn for 240 cows, built to meet the increasing livestock population

The cultivated area of the agropark has been tripled. Since the end of last year, 956.15 hectares of land from the State Reserve Fund in Mugtadir settlement, Khachmaz district, have been brought into crop rotation. With repeated sowings, the total cultivated area of Yalama Agropark has reached 1,479 hectares.
