The conference and exhibition on “Sustainable Food Security in a Changing Climate” successfully took place.

Coordinated and hosted by the Azerbaijan Grain Producers and Processors Association, and with Agro Dairy as the Gold Sponsor, the “IAOM EURASIA” Conference and Exhibition took place on September 24–25 in Baku.
For the first time in Baku — and the third time overall — the International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) Eurasia Conference brought together leaders and experts of the wheat and flour industry from 32 countries across the region. The opening ceremony featured keynote remarks by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov, Türkiye’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumaklı, Chairman of the State Reserves Agency of Azerbaijan Sabuhi Sadigov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Grain Producers and Processors Association and CEO of Agro Dairy Niyazi Amirbayov, IAOM US President Fran Churchill, and IAOM Eurasia Director Eren Günhan Ulusoy.
The conference hosted panel discussions on topics such as “Macroeconomic Impact on Grain Markets in Eurasia,” “Dynamics of the Grain and Flour Market in the Caucasus,” “Advancing Innovation and Digital Transformation,” and “Sustainability Outlook for Millers,” with participation from industry leaders and professionals.
With more than 500 delegates and 250 companies in attendance, the exhibition segment provided a platform for grain producers, flour processors, and trade representatives to connect, exchange ideas, and explore new partnerships.
The IAOM Eurasia Conference and Exhibition, of particular importance for Azerbaijan, served as a hub for stakeholders in grain processing and milling equipment industries to discuss market trends, share expertise, and establish new collaborations.
In line with the upcoming COP29 UN Climate Change Conference to be hosted in Azerbaijan later this year, the central theme of this year’s IAOM Eurasia event was “Sustainable Food Security in a Changing Climate.”
